Bolt-On Cutting Edge System

The bolt-on cutting edge system developed by Miilux saves you time and money because there won’t be traditional repairs for the tip of the bucket anymore. 

Renovations won’t be tied to time, place or weather conditions, as welding or heat processing is not needed. This also allows the risk-free use of HB500 hard abrasion resistant steel in wear pads.

Operating principle of the bolt-on cutting edge system:
– After installing the mounting plate, maintenance is done by changing the wear segment.
– The bolts are protected from wear and stress. They will be safe from forces that could cause cutting or bending. Changing can be done using a bolt gun.
– The wear segment will efficiently protect the bottom of the bucket and the mounting plate.
– The wear segment has a protective plate against the front of the wear segment, thereby also protecting the mounting plate from wear from the front.
– Maximum durability for the wear segments is achieved by quenching the pads to their final hardness as the last stage after oxygen cutting and welding.
– The material is high-quality Miilux wear resistant steel.

HD bolt-on cutting edge system

The original HD bolt-on cutting edge system is intended for rock material and other highly abrasive materials.

The primary applications are loader buckets in crushing and screening plants. The shape and dimensions of the edge are tailored for each customer. The edge can be a sharp V, a blunt V or straight. Wear segments protect the bottom, which significantly reduces the need for bottom repairs.

All bolt-on cutting edge system parts are made with wear-resistant steels, manufactured by Miilux using final-stage hardening that quarantees a product that is Hard from Edge to Edge. Replacement only takes 1-2 hours, and can be done by using pneumatic, power and hand tools.

XHD bolt-on cutting edge system

Patented XHD bolt-on cutting edge system is intended for quarry buckets in large machines and underground machines. Its design enhances the transfer of forces from large machines through the base plate to the bucket, preventing damage.

Wear segments and parts are used to protect the bucket’s bottom, further reducing the need for repairs. All bolt-on curring edge system parts are made with abrasion-resistant steels manufactured by Miilux using final-stage hardening, that quarantees Hard from Edge to Edge -quality in end products. Replacement only takes pneumatic and hand tools.

Bolt-on cutting edge system M

The M system is intended for light material handling.

The issue in conventional bolt-on cutting edges is that the bolts may bend and break. Miilux Bolt-On cutting edge system avoids the problem by protecting the bolts from digging forces. Our countersunk bolts are protected against bending and breakage, and will not push the load ahead of the bucket, making for more effective filling.

All bolt-on cutting edge system parts are made with wear-resistant steels manufactured by Miilux using Hard from Edge to Edge -technology. Replacement only takes pneumatic and hand tools.
